The trick studied by four young Sardinians could have worked had it not been for the very attentive retailers on behalf of Amazon who realized what had happened. The young people, aged 18, 25, 27 and 34, all from Monserrato , were in possession of two stolen phones, perhaps by themselves, and bought identical models on Amazon. They then pointed out to the site that they had changed their mind by returning the items but sending the sellers not those received, but those of stealth origin so as to be able to have new and "clean" smartphones available. However, the retailers did not recognize the returned items as theirs and filed a complaint. The kids got into trouble for royal aiding, stolen goods and money laundering.
