Anas has completed the redevelopment work on the branch towards Abbasanta of the “Santu Antinu” tunnel on state road 131 “Diramazione Centrale Nuorese” in Sedilo.
To allow for the completion of the works, and therefore the work along the branch of the tunnel in the opposite direction (Nuoro), "it is necessary," Anas announced, "to temporarily close the tunnel to traffic in both directions between Tuesday 24 March and Wednesday 1 April, with traffic prohibited between the northern and southern junctions of Sedilo, from km 13.350 to km 15.900."
Traffic will be diverted in different ways based on the size of the vehicles.
Light vehicles will be diverted with on-site signs onto the urban road network of Sedilo, in both directions, between the north and south junctions of Sedilo. For larger vehicles (over 4 meters in height or over 2.50 meters in width), diversions will be implemented on the state road network. Heading towards Nuoro, vehicles will be diverted from the start of state road 131 DCN, in the town of Abbasanta (km 0), along state road 131 "Carlo Felice", which they will follow until the Birori junction (km 142), then merge onto state road 129 and subsequently rejoin state road 131 DCN at the Nuoro junction (km 42.100). In the direction of Cagliari and Oristano, however, heavy vehicles will be diverted at the Macomer junction (km 42.100) and directed along state road 129, before entering state road 131 “Carlo Felice” at the Birori junction (km 142.400).
The works in the "Santu Antinu" tunnel have a total value of 28 million euros and are part of a broader plan by Anas to redevelop the entire route of the 131 DCN state road, with a total investment of 260 million euros in maintenance, 150 of which is earmarked for the tunnels.
