The pain for the death of Gioele Putzu “sculpted” in the sand of Platamona

The immense pain for the death of Gioele Putzu, the 9 year old boy from Olbia, crushed to death by a cursed soccer goal, in the Meledina field of Ozieri, sculpted in the sand of Platamona.

A work born from the sensitivity of the artist from Nuoro Nicola Urru, a sculpture created on the fifth comb of the Sorso coast.

"In that minute of silence, not only a child dies, but the empathy of a human race deafened by the music that covers the cries of pain dies."

These are the words of the sculptor Urru, the day after the funeral in Olbia of little Gioele, who died while playing happily with his friends. The child was in Ozieri to participate in the feast of the Blessed Virgin of Remedy. The civil celebrations continued "for reasons of public order". Yesterday tears and much sadness for a tragedy that, perhaps, could have been avoided.
