The new Forestry and Environmental Surveillance Station of Sarrabus (Villaputzu, Muravera and San Vito) was inaugurated this morning in Villaputzu. The mayor of Villaputzu Sandro Porcu and the commander of the station Mauro Pisu unveiled the plaque.

"A truly historic result," said the mayor, "for our community. Thanks to everyone and in particular to the regional department of Local Authorities. My best wishes for good work to the men and women of the forestry corps."

Present, among others, the regional commander of the Forestry Gianluca Cocco and the representatives of all the forces of law and order of the territory, the voluntary associations and numerous citizens. The barracks, originally (year 2008), had been intended for the carabinieri. Then a series of problems with the risk of leaving an unfinished one. Today instead here is that the building becomes a point of reference for Villaputzu and Sarrabus.
