The Island still burns. 5 aircraft in action in Borore
Another day of super work for the island's fire-fighting teamsThe fire emergency in Sardinia does not stop.
In a few hours there were 20 interventions by the Forestry Corps, with Forestas, firefighters and volunteers, to put out the flames in as many locations on the island.
On four fronts, the extent of the fire necessitated the intervention of air vehicles.
The most challenging fire between Borore and Macomer , in the Su Lisandru area, where 2 helicopters, the SuperPuma and also three Canadair, in aid of the foresters, intervened on the ground with 4 teams of forestas, 2 teams of 115 and as many volunteers of civil protection.
Air vehicles also in Villasalto , where the fire attacked the Mediterranean scrub, in Gesico , where 2 hectares of stubble and 3 hectares of uncultivated land went up in smoke; and in Carbonia , near Bacu Abis.
