The first lot of the new Capoterra ring road was opened to traffic this evening and inaugurated with a small ceremony attended by the mayor of the Metropolitan City of Cagliari Paolo Truzzu, the general director of the Stefano Mameli body, the mayor of the Municipality of Capoterra Beniamino Garau, Deputy Mayor Silvia Sorgia, Councilor for Urban Planning Gaetano Crocco, Councilor for Roads Pietro Frongia and other exponents of the City Council

The long-awaited infrastructural work will implement the connection with the capital and will favor the decongestion of road traffic in the inhabited center of Capoterra. An intervention that was carried out by the Metropolitan City of Cagliari with an allocation of 1.5 million euros financed with its own funds, and concerns a first section of 1.7 km which is inserted into the provincial road 91 near the eco-center and ends with a roundabout at the intersection with via Trexenta.

"We have kept faith with the commitments made to implement the infrastructural endowment of the territory and facilitate the viability of an important slice of citizens", comments Truzzu who announces: "The preliminary design for the construction of the second lot will soon be delivered".
