A busy and meaningful day in Oristano on the occasion of Epiphany, thanks to the commitment of the Provincial Fire Department, who successfully combined a spirit of service, solidarity, and moments of celebration dedicated to the community. The morning of January 6th took place in the evocative setting of Piazza Eleonora, where the Fire Department's Befana made her first descent, attracting the attention and enthusiasm of numerous families. Candy and sweets were distributed to the children present, bringing smiles and moments of joy to the heart of the city.
Simultaneously, the Oristano Fire Brigade's operational team, in collaboration with the National Association of Retired Firefighters, visited the pediatric ward of San Martino Hospital and the Casa Famiglia delle Giuseppine, delivering stockings and toys to the children living there. The gifts were made possible thanks to the kind donations of the 3S distributor in Marrubiu, the Spazio Conad store, and Arborea 1956, as well as contributions from all the sponsors and local businesses who responded generously to the Fire Brigade's invitation, demonstrating their concern and sensitivity for the initiative.
This year's event was organized by the C-shift team at the headquarters and the Oristano Fire Brigade Command's firefighting staff, who coordinated the day's various activities with dedication and team spirit.
In the afternoon, the celebrations continued inside the Fire Department gym, where Befana made her second descent, enthusiastically welcomed by children and families. Afterward, Befana stockings were handed out to all the children in attendance, in a festive and sharing atmosphere that involved the entire Fire Department community and their families.
The initiative represented an important moment of closeness to the citizens and attention to the little ones, confirming once again the human and social value of the work carried out daily by the Oristano Fire Brigade.
