The car in which he was travelling, with two friends on board, was seized and could not circulate. The busy late afternoon in Cagliari begins just before 7 pm. The agents at the checkpoint reveal that the vehicle could not circulate. They try to stop it. The boy behind the wheel presses his foot on the accelerator and flees. The alarm goes off, with a request for reinforcements.

A Municipal patrol is ready to intercept the fugitives in Via Emilia, in front of Piazza Medaglia miraculous. In the agitated manoeuvres, however, he hits a scooter and must give up. The two-wheeler, it will later turn out, was without insurance, so the seizure was triggered.

Meanwhile, the Alfa 156 continued its journey, with motorcycle agents behind it. According to what is learned, she crashed into some parked cars. The race ended in a stretch of via Is Mirrionis next to via Is Cornalias: he could not continue because that is a dead end. The occupants continued their escape on foot.
