After the disruptions of recent days due to the water supply interruption, Quartu is also dealing with power outages. Late in the evening, after 8:00 PM, the power went out throughout the Santo Stefano area, both inside homes and on the streets. Everyone was in the dark from Via Albinoni to Via Mercadante, from Via Turati to Via Mascagni. The clinic, the AIAS center, and the ASL outpatient clinic immediately activated their generators. The outage also spread to Viale Colombo, with power returning after over an hour.

But this isn't the first time it's happened. Almost every evening, for some time now, the power has gone out, especially in the Musicisti area, right where the Quartu Sud primary substation is being built for energy efficiency. However, outages are the order of the day. And this time, the overloads that occurred last summer aren't to blame, as almost no air conditioners were running on this October evening. Complicating matters were the constant unplugging and unplugging that, before the total shutdown, once again damaged appliances in some cases.
