Four girls engaged in a canoe excursion on the Cedrino were saved by the Nuoro firefighters.

The women, probably due to the sudden bad weather, lost their orientation and moved away from the group of friends with whom they had decided to undertake the river trip. Finding themselves stranded in the thick vegetation on one bank of the watercourse, they therefore raised the alarm to the operations room of the Nuoro fire brigade.

A team specialized in river rescue arrived in the area with two vehicles and two inflatable boats.

It took the police a short time to reach the four women and bring them back safely to the accommodation facilities in Oliena. They are all in good condition. For them it was just a big scare.
