A journey of hope, faith, and sharing . All together, step by step, to leave no one behind . This is the spirit that guides the volunteers of the Cammino di Bonaria this year too, who for several years have decided to engage in dialogue with the inmates of the prisons the route passes through, with moments of discussion, listening, and mutual support .

Not only are inmates asked to reflect on themselves, but outside participants are also invited to question and challenge themselves. The goal is to share an experience that becomes an opportunity for discussion and personal growth. The journey passes through three penitentiaries: the Mamone penal colony, the Badu 'e Carros prison, and the Quartucciu prison . For three days, volunteers and inmates will travel together through several stages in Sardinia.

The program will begin on May 1st at 7:30 a.m. from the Mamone penal colony. The Icaro and Su Golostiu associations of Bitti, which have long been involved in volunteer work in the area and at the facility, will also be present at the departure. The first stop will be at the Romanzesu archaeological site and then on to Bitti, where the inmates will be welcomed into the San Giorgio parish house thanks to the collaboration of the community and Father Totoni Cossu.

On May 2nd, departure is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. from Bitti. The route will continue towards Lula, stopping in Onanì and arriving at the Sanctuary of San Francesco di Lula, where the priory will welcome you.

On May 3rd, at 7:30 a.m., the meeting point will be at the Approdi community, at km 15.2 of the Lula-Nuoro stage. After a coffee break offered to pilgrims, the pilgrims will depart for Nuoro. This final stage will also include some inmates from the Badu 'e Carros prison, along with Cammino di Bonaria volunteers, chaplain Father Roberto Dessolis, and the Caritas volunteers who work with the facility. Arrival is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Badu 'e Carros roundabout, where the Siste Viator stone is located. A welcome point will be set up where the credential will be stamped. Inmates will be given the Cammino di Bonaria Credential, with the hope that it will be completed by the final arrival in Bonaria.
