A delegation from the network of schools promoting the initiative, made up of the Licei Azuni, Castelvì, Figari, Spano di Sassari and the Paglietti Institute of Porto Torres, illustrated the " MED project - educating to the media for the development of life skills ”and the directives for a regional regulation on the teaching of critical reading of information.

Managers, teachers and students have been involved for over a year in the media education project launched on the basis of an agreement with the Sardinian Press Association, in partnership with the University of Sassari, the collaboration of the Regional Order of Journalists and the concrete support from the Foundation of Sardinia and Corecom.

The contents of the various documents were presented by Gianfranco Strinna, head teacher of the Liceo Castelvì, professor Marina Maruzzi, teacher of the Liceo Spano, the students Claudia Mangano of the Liceo Azuni and Luca Meloni of the Liceo Spano.

The president and the members of the regional council commission showed appreciation for the contents of the project and interest in the guidelines of the proposal for a regional law on the subject, guaranteeing their full support for the initiative. The regional councilors also invited the promoting schools to extend their network to other institutions in Sardinia and to strengthen collaboration with Corecom, which has already provided funding for a master's degree from the University of Sassari on "Media education, digital literacy and orientation to complexity ”in the context of the media education project.

The hearing of the school delegates at the competent council commission took place thanks to the mediation of Michele Pais, president of the Regional Council, to whom the promoting schools had already presented their proposal last December in Sassari on the second day of a conference dedicated to the theme "Media Education, a proposal for Sardinia".
