The dossier on psycho-neuroanalysis therapy has arrived in Cassation. Lawyers Michele Ponsano, Sonia Balzarini and Luigi Esposito challenged the sentence (five years' imprisonment) on appeal by Ittiri's neurologist Giuseppe Dore and his colleague Marinella D'Onofrio.

The two had been found responsible for various crimes by the Court of Appeal of Sassari, including criminal association. The case is that of the therapies used in the treatment of Alzheimer's patients.

The statute of limitations had canceled the crime of ill-treatment. The affair also saw the regional councilor of UDC-Cambiamo, Antonello Peru, under accusation, definitively acquitted with the broadest formula. The Attorney General today asked for confirmation of the convictions.

As well as the civil party lawyers Danilo Mattana, Alberto Sechi and Fabrizio Pintus. Instead, for the defenses, in particular Michele Ponsano and Sonia Balzarini, Dore and his collaborators were convinced of the scientific validity of the therapy and there can be no question of fraud. According to the indictment, Giuseppe Dore promoted psycho-neuroanalysis, devoid of any scientific evidence. The Supreme Court will decide shortly on the appeal.
