The Brazilian artist Gustavo Martini is the protagonist of Ethno's Visual Arts , the exhibition dedicated to art promoted by The Nomadic Art Institute in the municipalities of Laerru and Martis , which has its roots in the Ethno's Literary Festival and Laerru Contemporanea projects.
On Friday at 7:00 PM, Martini will present the results of his artistic and design research in the Anglona region. Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1987, Gustavo Martini lives and works in Milan, where he has built an international career, earning major accolades, including the title of Next Generation Designer of the Year from Wallpaper* Magazine.
During her residency, the artist explored the Anglona region, transforming this experience into research that will be presented to the public. The research developed during the residency will inform the design of a site-specific work for the Pinacoteca Contemporanea di Laerru . This is the first artistic commission of its kind to be realized within the museum's program, part of the second edition of Laerru Contemporanea , a project promoted by the Municipality of Laerru and supported by the Fondazione di Sardegna.
The day will offer the public the opportunity to visit the exhibition "I'll be there to drink your tears" by Selene Cardia and Rachele Sotgiu , an exhibition inaugurated in June and running until September 13th, before the launch of a new phase of the artistic journey under the curator Eleonora Angiolini 's commitment to the area and leading the Laerru Contemporanea project. It will also be possible to admire the work Sottosopra by Giuseppe Mulas , donated by the artist to support the research and artistic production activities carried out by The Nomadic Art Institute. Refreshments open to the public will accompany the evening.
The day will conclude in Piazza Regina Elena with La Notte della Commedia , the final performance of the International Commedia dell'Arte Masterclass " In Search of My Mask ," directed by Michele Modesto Casarin , artistic director of the Venetian company Pantakin . The masterclass is promoted by the Teatro Libertario of Cagliari, in collaboration with Pantakin of Venice, the artistic director of the Ethno's Literary Festival, Davide Tuseddu , and the Municipal Administration of Martis.
