Started in Olbia on 15 September with the laying of the starting stone, this afternoon in Cagliari the finishing stone of the Way was laid in the Bonaria churchyard . A ceremony that saw the participation of many faithful, in addition to the founders of the association.

«Those who embark on a journey do it for many reasons, what perhaps brings them all together is to question themselves, and in some way be reborn. I believe that since 1375, beyond the Mercedarian Fathers, we have been the only ones to leave a physical mark with a stone, with the hope that it will welcome pilgrims», said the president of the association, Antonello Menne , who, together to Giuseppe Deiana, Francesco Calledda ''Zigheddu'', Arcangelo Puddori and other pilgrims he gave life to the Cammino di Bonaria. The goal is to grow on the model of Santiago de Compostela , the destination of hundreds of thousands of pilgrims every year.

A year ago the Lula Charter was signed with the approximately 30 founding members of the association which today, however, has reached a hundred members. From there the path that involved 12 towns : Padru, Berchideddu, Alà dei Sardi, Bitti, Lula, Nuoro, Redentore, Orotelli, Sedilo, Fordongianus, Usellus, Sini, Sanluri, Ussana, Monserrato.

An infinite pilgrimage from San Simplicio to Bonaria, which sees Olbia as port of departure and Cagliari as point of arrival .

"For the city of Cagliari and for every single citizen, seeing the stone can make us ask questions and lead us to take a journey that can be a moment of reflection on the path that each of us takes on earth", said the mayor during the ceremony of Cagliari Paolo Truzzu.
