«I hope that the kids learn. Let them not do these things anymore. It's fate, but it can be prevented. I hope they get their heads straight. If they can't drive, call someone, their family members. They have the whole future ahead of them."

Omar Zaher, pharmacist and municipal councilor of Selargius, is a destroyed father. His daughter Najibe died on Sunday morning at just 19 years old in the tragic crash in Viale Marconi which claimed the lives of four very young people.

His funeral was celebrated today at the San Michele cemetery. And Zaher, through tears, finds the strength to launch an appeal to all young people.

«They are our whole life, Najibe was my life» , he manages to say, «I built everything for her. It was a flower."

The parent also has a thought for the other victims and their families: "I'm sorry for all those who have experienced this misfortune." Because those who died after an evening of fun "were kids who were building their future". And everything fell apart in a fatal carambola, before dawn on a hot September day.
