The Caretta Caretta, named Agostina, was freed, which had been recovered, in a state of difficulty, last August in the waters of the Park of La Maddalena by some boaters. The turtle had been transported to the Asinara Recovery Center to be treated.

The radiographs revealed a state of intestinal constipation caused by the ingestion of plastic material. After a few weeks, he began to eject a significant amount of bags and shards of cans. The percentage of marine animals that ingest plastic waste that they mistake for food but which can cause their death is very high.

Agostina, now recovered, returned to her natural environment from the beach of Cala Spalmatore in the Asinara National Park, in the presence of the Videolina television crew, the Park and the CRAMA staff.
