The young man, who was subjected by doctors to instrumental tests for a suspected spinal cord injury, is hospitalized in the neurosurgery department of the civil hospital of Sassari where he was transferred by helicopter.

The driver lost control while driving his Osella Pa30 and in the last corners he hit the rocky ridge with the front wheel and the car overturned several times.

The young man who was immediately rescued was conscious but felt pain in his leg and was rushed to the hospital by helicopter. He was then subjected to a CT scan to verify his exact health conditions. The motorsport event takes place on the uphill road between Alghero and Villanova Monteleone.
