The investigation into Claudio Manca's death continues unabated. In Cagliari, consultants Roberto Demontis, Domenico Nuvoli, and Danilo Fois have performed tests on the jeans and shirt the 49-year-old was wearing when he was found dead in the canal on the ring road. Initial tests do not appear to have revealed any significant findings, other than the clothing being stained with mud. However, further investigations will be needed to determine the full extent of the findings and any biological traces. The first results of the post-autopsy tests are expected in approximately three weeks. So far, it is unclear what injuries (and how they were inflicted) caused the unemployed man's death.

Battista Manis, the Terralba businessman who, according to the Prosecutor's Office, first ran over and then beat his rival, believing him to be responsible for the fire in his house, is in prison on charges of voluntary homicide.

However, there are still many elements to clarify, starting with what happened on Provincial Road 92. According to rumors, Manis (represented by Antonio Pinna Spada and Ivano Chiesa) apparently wasn't driving his wife's gray Golf but managed to veer off the steering wheel, hitting Manca, who was riding his bike (the family is being assisted by Fabio Costa). He then struck him, leaving him in the ditch.

The businessman, therefore, wasn't alone in the car: someone may have witnessed the scene, perhaps even tried to stop him. Meanwhile, a survey was carried out a week ago on the road where the accident occurred.
