Ten countries at hydrogeological risk: money is raining in Ogliastra

Tortolì inhabited in hydrogeological risk areas. According to the Flood Risk Management Plan, 1,070 people live in buildings constructed in areas identified in the Urban Plan with very high (Hi4) and high (Hi3) hazards. Most of them occupy houses near the Rio Foddeddu.

But like Tortolì also several other centers of Ogliastra live with the risk of landslides and floods. In Lanusei , for example, 107 people live in H13 and Hi4 areas.

Ten countries have been financed for the cleaning and maintenance of waterways for a total amount of 1.7 million euros: in addition to Tortolì and Lanusei, Bari Sardo, Gairo, Ilbono, Jerzu, Lotzorai, Triei and Urzulei.
