The burial of Angelo Frigeri's body took place in a strictly private ceremony in the afternoon. Frigeri's closest family members and a priest arrived at the Tempio cemetery around 4 pm.

The 40-year-old man committed suicide on the eve of last Easter in a cell in the Uta prison , where he was serving a life sentence for the massacre of the Azzena family (May 2014). The body was buried on the ground, in the central part of the cemetery, and a simple wooden cross was placed. The family preferred a private ceremony, behind closed doors.

The Prosecutor of Cagliari (which proceeds for the crime of inciting suicide) has not given the go-ahead for the cremation of the body . Meanwhile, the investigation into the man's death continues. The prosecutor in charge of the investigation is waiting to hear the outcome of the coroner's investigations. The lawyer of the Frigeri family, Gianfranco Frongia, has already presented several requests to the prosecutor .
