Temple, lived among waste and animal carcasses, without water or electricity: an elderly woman rescued

Staff of the local police, social services and firefighters carried out an operation to clear a building in the heart of Tempio.

An 82-year-old retiree was referred to social workers. He lived in the house saturated with waste, the material fills all the rooms on the three floors of the building. Inside also dozens of cats, there would be carcasses of long dead animals.

The house has no water and electricity utilities.

The elderly woman will undergo medical treatment. Animal rights associations have given the availability for the accommodation of the cats which will now have to be taken out of the building.
