The Myrtle Festival number 28 was presented at the Eccelsa Aviation in Olbia. Tradition, food and wine, quality music and promotion of the symbolic plant, the myrtle, from whose berries release aromas and flavors with which to create an infinite number of products, from the sector food to cosmetics.

Presented by the councilor for tourism of the Municipality of Telti, Matteo Sanna, and by the president of the Pro Loco, Marilena Suelzu, the event aims to enhance the beautiful Teltese territory by attracting an ever-increasing number of visitors, which already amount to around twenty thousand per edition, also thanks to a choice of shows and music that satisfies the needs of all audiences.

Three days, from 18 to 20 August, which will host the Bertas , historic Sardinian pop-rock group, Francesco Piu , bluesman of international standing, and the Popular Sardinian Orchestra directed by Maestro Orlando Mascia, which boasts a strictly traditional repertoire proposed in orchestral guise and performed with only the typical instruments of the island. Space for folk with the evening dedicated to groups, with the Boes and Merdules from Ottana and the folk groups from Olbiese, Sas Campidanesa from Oristano, Ballarjanas from Oniferi and Santa Lucia from Buddusò present, who will involve the public until late at night together with the accordionists Simone Melino, Gianfranco Salis and Mirko Putzu and the Berchidda Funky Jazz Band .

The Myrtle Festival becomes an increasingly concrete territorial marketing project to attract and encourage local businesses, promoting a positive image. An intense network of collaboration between public bodies and private companies promotes the locality, led by the mayor Vittorio Pinducciu, where some private individuals, taking advantage of the opportunity, have been able to develop entrepreneurial projects linked to the symbolic plant and today can boast established and productive companies. The kermesse involves the whole town and makes use of the collaboration of numerous volunteers who contribute decisively to its success: this year there will be 10 refreshment points, 30 exhibitors including artisans and agri-food, there will be the Slow Food village, present four companies that have made myrtle their core business. During the presentation, councilor Sanna thanked the Pro Loco for their work and commitment and underlined the excellent tourist response: with the event, Telti filled up, all the 180 beds available in the reception facilities surveyed were booked.
