Alarm raised during the night on the island of Tavolara for two missing English tourists and then, Fortunately, they were rescued thanks to the collaboration between the Olbia Port Authority and the Fire Department. The two, who had lost their bearings along the island's rugged paths, were recovered in good health.
The alarm was raised when the two hikers, surprised by darkness and unable to find their way back, launched a flare . The call for help was received by the Port Authority, which immediately coordinated with the Fire Brigade.
The firefighters were transported to Tavolara aboard a Coast Guard vessel, which remained on call throughout the search.
Once on the island, the operators took the uphill path that leads to the Madonnina area and, after about an hour, managed to establish initial vocal contact with the missing people.

The team managed to locate the two tourists, stranded in the thick Mediterranean scrub . After checking their health conditions and ruling out any health issues, the tourists were safely returned to the valley.
