Sunflower, tragedy on the East: a centaur dies

A German centaur on vacation in Ogliastra died in the East , near Girasole .

The man was passing a short distance from a service area when he lost control of the motorcycle . Around 5 pm today he fell on the asphalt, the impact was very violent . In the fall it should have hit the guardrail as well . At the origin of the accident there could have been an illness of the motorcyclist or a distraction.

An ambulance of 118 intervened in Girasole and the staff tried to revive the centaur, without success. The Areus helicopter was also sent to support the activities of the ground service team, whose pilot was informed of the man's death shortly before the landing operations began.

On the stretch of road, traffic slowed down for a long time . Carabinieri from the Lanusei company intervened, carrying out the legal surveys, a patrol from the Tortolì police station and the fire brigade.
