First problems at the Porto Torres port due to the strong west wind that, since yesterday, has been blowing with gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour.
The ferry from Genoa , the Moby Aki of the Cin company, was diverted this morning, April 17, to the Isola Bianca port of Olbia , considered more sheltered from the winds. The change of the docking port could also be extended to tomorrow, April 18.
The mayor of Porto Torres, Massimo Mulas, following the warnings of adverse weather conditions for hydraulic and hydrogeological risk issued by the regional Civil Protection, signed the ordinance that provides for the activation of the Municipal Operations Center of Civil Protection (COC) in a state of pre-alert and in minimum functions for the entire duration of the bad weather. The objective is to coordinate the monitoring services during the alert period and to support the mayor in the direction and coordination of any assistance and rescue services to the population and of any intervention aimed at dealing with the emergency that may become necessary.
