Strong wind in Ussaramanna, the iron cross of the bell tower of San Quirico Martire removed

Intervention by the fire brigade in Ussaramanna, in the Medio Campidano area, due to the strong wind that has been raging in Sardinia since yesterday.

A team from the Sanluri detachment has been at work since this morning with the help of the ladder truck, to secure the cross on the bell tower of the church of San Quirico Martire, in via Dante.
The operators removed the unsafe iron cross about two meters high, bringing it to the ground and securing the bell tower.
Local police officers and a municipal technician are also present on site.
