Despite the legislation introduced in 2017, the thefts of sand, shells and stones from the beaches of Sardinia continue. Another tourist was caught trying to take away some pebbles taken from the splendid Saline beach on the Stintino coast.

The men of the barracellare company, led by the commander Gavino Depalmas, on the recommendation of some bathers, intervened in the bathing establishment on the beach, discovering the attempted theft by a family of tourists who, intent on collecting medium-sized pebbles, had kept the natural material under the umbrella.

One of the many souvenirs to take home as a reminder of the visit to Sardinia. After registering the attempted theft, the green uniforms issued the expected fine, which varies from 500 to 3 thousand euros. The pebbles, on the other hand, were placed on the beach. The barracelli control activity continues along the coast of Stintino, in compliance with the Regulation governing the protection of the coast, from the La Pelosa beach to Ezzi Mannu.
