Stop the use of drinking water in the hamlet of Pozzo San Nicola, in Stintino.

The provision was taken by the Municipality, following the communication received from the Local Health Authority of Sassari, which conducted chemical analyzes on drinking water, finding the presence of Nitrites in quantities exceeding the permitted limits (0.55 mg/l) on a sample of water taken in the affected area .

The administration was requested to adopt an ordinance of "limitation in the food use of the water supplied" and to inform the citizens of the situation regarding the quality of the water intended for human use in the village of Pozzo San Nicola.

The ordinance to protect health and the community prohibits the use of water from the municipal aqueduct for drinking and food purposes in the Stintino district, while it is permitted to use the water exclusively for domestic purposes, personal hygiene and washing fruit and vegetables.

The Abbanoa managing body has undertaken to provide an alternative withdrawal point for the supply of drinking water and will provide timely information to users.
