Stintino, Local Police car has slashed tires; investigation underway.

The tires of the local police service vehicle in the municipality of Stintino were slashed. The police were busy enforcing the bans in the town center and along the coast.
The incident occurred yesterday evening, August 11, around 7:00 PM , when the officers' cars were parked on Via Torre Falcone, near the municipal headquarters, not far from City Hall. A witness reported hearing the sound of one of the tires deflating and, once she looked out from her balcony, saw a car skid and flee . The woman doesn't remember what kind of car, but nearby security cameras could help law enforcement identify those responsible.
The slashed tire was on a Toyota Crossover used by municipal officers deployed in the municipal area to enforce the rules, a job that clearly bothers some people . "This situation is very concerning to us, considering the way they acted," observes Mayor Rita Vallebella, "and it demonstrates that the local police are doing their job properly, especially following the appointment of the new commander."
The Municipality filed a complaint with the Carabinieri at the Stintino station.
