Starting Wednesday, October 29, Anas will begin the main phase of construction work on the new Macomer-Mulargia junction on state road 131.
To allow for the work , the lane of the roadway towards Sassari will be closed to traffic between km 148.250 and km 148.750 . Furthermore, traffic heading towards Sassari will be prohibited from turning from state road 131 onto state road 129 bis towards Bosa and Macomer. At the same time, traffic coming from state road 129 bis will be prohibited from turning towards Sassari onto state road 131. All other maneuvers remain in place.
For vehicles traveling on State Road 131 from Cagliari and heading to Macomer-Bosa via State Road 129 bis, access will be guaranteed by making a U-turn at the Campeda junction (km 152.070). Vehicles traveling from Macomer-Bosa via State Road 129 bis and merging onto State Road 131 towards Sassari will be able to make a U-turn at the Nuoro-Birori junction (km 142.150). Signage will be posted on site.
The project, valued at approximately ten million euros, is part of a broader plan to eliminate at-grade junctions on Sardinia's main artery, which has already included the construction of the new Bonorva north and south junctions and the Paulilatino junction. Completion of the junction is scheduled for summer 2026.
