He ended up under house arrest on charges of stalking , attempted extortion and kidnapping of a girl he allegedly persecuted until a few weeks ago .

The recipient of the precautionary custody order signed by the investigating judge of the Court of Cagliari is the former Cagliari Calcio player , Antonio Auriemma , born in 1997, who later joined Olbia and Nuorese. Today the athlete will have to appear before the judge for questioning .

The file on the footballer was opened a few months ago after a complaint from a girl who had been engaged to him for five months. According to the reconstruction of the investigators, the young woman was initially threatened and harassed with continuous scenes of jealousy and messages. Once the relationship ended, Auriemma would then proceed to persecute her even with stakeouts until locking her in a room for two hours trying to convince her to resume the relationship.

The Prosecutor's Office also hypothesizes an extortion attempt for having threatened the young woman, if she did not return with him, to make intimate videos public.

The young woman had also reported that she feared for her life due to a knife , later found by the police and equipped with a 20 centimeter blade, which the footballer always carried with him in the car.
