Sportsmanship index, Cagliari first among the southern provinces

The metropolitan city of Cagliari is first among the provinces of the South and the islands in the 2023 Sportsmanship Index ranking . A ranking created by Pts and published by Sole 24 Ore, which measures the diffusion and quality of local sports systems.

Cagliari conquers eleventh position in the general ranking of 107 provinces dominated by Trento , while it climbs to the top step of the podium in terms of number of technicians and match officials registered in the CONI federations and second in terms of number of registered athletes.

An important result if we consider that, between the provinces of the South and Islands, after the good positioning of the Sardinian capital area we need to go down to the forty-eight of Teramo and the fifty-two of Sassari.

The 2023 sportsmanship index, now in its 17th edition, is calculated on 32 indicators divided into four categories.
