“Spaccata” at the jewelery shop in the center of Cagliari, the author identified

The author of the "split" against a jewelery shop in the center of Cagliari was identified and reported on staged in the late evening of last January 18th. On that occasion, jewels and precious silver were stolen for a value of 8 thousand euros.

The investigations by the state police turned out to be complex because no one had witnessed the event and the jewelry did not have a video surveillance system. Not only that: the alarm connected to a supervisory institute had not activated due to a malfunction.

The investigations of the Crimes against the Assets Section of the Flying Squad of the Cagliari Police Headquarters therefore concentrated on the images of the cameras in the area that had made it possible to reconstruct the escape of the author of the theft. The agents thus identified a 48-year-old from Cagliari already known to the police for crimes against property, in particular theft, receiving stolen goods, money laundering.
