Important new resources for Sardinia's sports facilities , in a logic of balance compared to those already allocated for the new Cagliari stadium. This is the content of the amendment that the President of the Region, Christian Solinas , is preparing to present to the Council (in agreement with the competent departments) to the budget change.

« After the allocation of the contribution of 50 million in favor of the Municipality of Cagliari for the construction of a new stadium», explains the governor, «I believe that it is correct to provide equal attention to the other sporting realities of the island which deserve structures suitable for the best current standards".

So even the other lower category teams will be able to hope for a new home: «The Plan will contain the financing of interventions on the stadiums of teams such as Torres, Olbia or Nuorese just to give a few examples», adds Solinas. «But we cannot forget all the smaller facilities, especially those dedicated to the youth sectors, which represent not only an important nursery of Sardinian sport but a great heritage with an inestimable social function. In this regard, I will immediately start a discussion with the FIGC Regional Committee to jointly evaluate the priorities."

There is not only football in the president's thoughts: the new resources, in fact, will also take into account the allocations already allocated to the Municipality of Cagliari for the new Sports Hall (3.5 million euros) and to the Municipality of Sassari for the completion of the Palaserradimigni .
