Seventy-five days after the discovery of the nest thanks to the sense of smell of the Lagotto Romagnolo Kira, yesterday the biologists of the Tavolara Punta Coda Cavallo Marine Protected Area, together with the scientific managers of the Cres and with the support of the Siniscola Forestry Corps, inspected the nest chamber finding the eggs, of which, however, none hatched.

Collected intact, the eggs were placed in an incubator in the CNR laboratories in Oristano where they will be monitored for ten days, the time necessary to create the optimal conditions for the complete development of the embryo, with the hope that some small turtles can set sail.
