Siniscola, hikers save a goat that fell from a cliff

A special mid-August, the one just ended for three members of Asd Canyon in Gallura. Engaged on tour in Montalbo, Eugenio Degortes, Roberto Cherchi and Pietro Santu, became protagonists of the rescue of a goat that fell from a cliff.

«While we were engaged in an excursion - says the President of the ASD, Degortes - our friend Pietro Santu was contacted by a farmer who, knowing of our presence, asked us for help. A goat from his herd had fallen off a wall. It was impossible for him to reach her."

The three wasted no time, reaching the locality of "S'Adde", from which they descended safely. Highly specialized and qualified, after a few hours, they managed to reach the animal, to the general satisfaction of the shepherd, Pierluigi Schirru.

«We love what we do - concludes Degortes - They accompany many tourists to discover the island, knowing that we can do something for others fills us with joy. The maneuvers were difficult, but we tried to do the impossible by putting our experience into practice».
