Over 5 kg of marijuana and 167 grams of hashish seized in Sindia : this is the result of the latest operation carried out by the Carabinieri of the Macomer Company.
The military were engaged in the control of a farm, in the locality of Sos Deghinos , aimed at censusing the livestock also in relation to the cases of Blue Tongue registered in the area, when during the checks outside the sheds they discovered a system of pipes for the classic "drip" irrigation.

The owner, a 20 -year-old local , justified himself by talking about a legal hemp plantation that had been planted years before , but the police were not satisfied with the explanation they had received and carried out a search of the entire company, discovering, hidden in a plastic bin, 5 kg of marijuana and 167 grams of hashish, which were later seized .

The 20-year-old was arrested and, after validation before the GIP of Oristano, he pleaded guilty to a 22-month prison sentence.
