Murder in the afternoon in Silì, a hamlet of Oristano. A woman stabbed her 13-year-old daughter, killing her, and then threw herself from the window of her home, in via Martiri del Risorgimento, to end it all.
Monica Vinci, 52, did not die but was hospitalized in serious condition at the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari.
The daughter was called Chiara Carta and it seems she was found in the bathroom of the house, massacred by stab wounds.
The reasons for the homicidal raptus are still unknown. It seems that for Monica Vinci it was not an easy time.
The police immediately intervened in via Martiri del Risorgimento together with the 118 rescuers, but there was already nothing more to be done for the girl. The head of Mobile Samuele Cabizzosu and the prosecutor Valerio Bagattini also rushed. The mother, seriously injured, was transported in red code to Santissina Annunziata.
