Silanus, the mayor on the 180 million distributed by the regional council: «Mine is a battle against the system»

"Mine is not a battle against a political party, but against a system that, for the good of all, must necessarily change" . This is what the mayor of Silanus, Gian Pietro Arca, said in a press release regarding the recent publication of the notices of the Region on the distribution of 180 million euros by the city council, which is generating controversy and discontent and which, according to mayor Arca, favors only a few municipalities, to the detriment of others.

"The notices of the Region - writes Arca - which seem to have the sole purpose of conferring a semblance of legitimacy, political and otherwise, to the casual distribution of 180 million euros by the Regional Council. In my humble opinion, this is a clear attempt to legitimize a regulatory measure that, according to the Ministry of Economy and Finance, is in conflict with Article 3 of the Constitution, since it violates the principle of equality ." According to Arca, the procedure appears clear: "First, large economic resources were allocated in an opaque and discretionary manner, and only at a later stage was an administrative act issued aimed exclusively at the beneficiaries of those sums, asking them whether or not they were still interested in receiving them. An administrative stroke of genius that leads me to congratulate the good regional managers, who, in all likelihood, are working very hard to legitimize what is not legitimate."

A battle, that of the mayor of Silanus, which is creating a stir in the Region, where they are trying to clarify what happened on the distribution of the 180 million. Arca still writes, asking a series of questions: «Can our representatives really think they can act with impunity to the detriment of so many Sardinians? Why have the political exponents who in the last legislature contested, rightly, the so-called “Solinas Method”, adopted a much worse modus operandi? Why are the political groups that when they were in opposition preached equality, legality and, more generally, the sacrosanct respect for the rules to protect the interests of the community, silent today? But above all, why have the honorable Paola Casula, Maria Laurà Orrù, Diego Loi, Roberto Li Gioi, Desirè Manca, Alessandro Solinas, Francesco Agus, allowed and participated in the division of 180 million euros».
