"The mother of the baby girl who last night was transferred to the Gaslini in Genoa thanks to a special flight by the Air Force that took off from Alghero risks not being able to hug her daughter again due to the absurd rules on the green pass". This was denounced by MEP Francesca Donato, a former member of the League elected in the College of the Islands that groups Sardinia and Sicily.
"We are all happy for the life-saving flight requested by the Prefecture of Sassari and operated by the Air Force - explains the European parliamentarian - but now it is necessary to face the delicate situation of the child's mother who, not being vaccinated, will not be able to reach her baby at the Gaslini pediatric hospital in Genoa ".
The MEP also underlines how "from the entry into force of the super green pass for travel, from Sardinia to Sicily, dramatic stories arrive every day of citizens who systematically see their right to move freely violated. Today, unfortunately, the victim of this aberrant system she is the mother of a little girl who needed urgent and specialized care outside Sardinia ".
"In all likelihood tonight the mother of the newborn will come soon and it is therefore essential for this woman but also for all Sardinians and Sicilians who are in similar situations that the national government immediately extends the exemption from the obligation of super green pass for use of public transport, for reasons of health, study or urgency foreseen for the smaller islands also for the two larger islands "concludes Donato.
