Shooting during the assault on the armored car on 131: a girl is wounded, two security guards are hit

There are three wounded among the security guards traveling aboard the armored car which this morning, around 8.30, was attacked by a commando of armed bandits at the height of kilometer 170 of the Statale 131 , in the territory of Giave.

According to preliminary information , the raid was completed around 8.30 am: the Mondialpol armored personnel carrier was blocked by a car and a truck which were set on fire.

The bandits fired with (apparently) military weapons. A girl unrelated to the robbery was shot in the arm. Some shots reached the security personnel, who were rescued by colleagues when the robbers drove away in a car. Some motorists were threatened with guns pointed at their faces. The vehicle used for the escape was found in the Nuoro area.

The state road has been blocked in both directions: traffic is paralysed.
