While the mistral was blowing hard, on Saturday afternoon he tried to start a fire in the brushwood near via dei Conversi, in Cagliari , not far from the houses and at the foot of the hill of Monte Urpinu.
The plan of a sixty-one-year-old, however, failed thanks to the report of a citizen : noticed the suspicious movements of the woman, he immediately called 113 and on the phone he guided the agents of the Volanti to her.
The policemen reached her and caught her while she was still holding the lighter in her hand: she was taken to the police station and arrested for attempted fire, waiting for the direct route set for today.
The timely intervention, thanks to the call, avoided the worst: the wind could have made the flames run through the dry brushwood, towards the houses and the park on the promontory .
