Settlements and cracks in the floors: social housing alarm in Porto Torres

The buildings owned by the regional housing company show their growing situation of material and structural degradation .

In the neighborhood of Villaggio Satellite, one of the popular neighborhoods in Porto Torres , urgent maintenance interventions have been requested on Area housing for some time. A five-story building, located in via Calabria, continues to lose pieces, portions of concrete that collapse, sagging that alarms the entire residential complex.

The last inspection by the fire brigade highlighted the state of risk of the entire load-bearing structure of one of the buildings , where there are evident and substantial lesions and cracks. The iron reinforcements appear worn and considerably oxidized, while there is damage to the reinforced concrete beam and plaster on the facade and on the parapets of the terraces.

Everywhere infiltrations of water coming from the risers , present in particular in the intrados of the attic of the covered car park. The fire brigade immediately proceeded to remove the parts in imminent danger of collapse, delimiting the area with signal tape.

The mayor Massimo Mulas has issued an order for immediate restoration addressed to Area and to the owners of the apartments located on the first, third and fourth floors, so that they can implement a radical intervention to end the state of degradation and danger for the safety of people.
