The carabinieri of the Radiomobile of the Quartu Sant'Elena Company have reported a 30-year-old from Settimo San Pietro for damage and fire.

The man, unemployed and known to the police, is believed to be responsible for the arson attack committed against a 40-year-old worker, whose car, a Ford Focus, was set on fire in recent days.

After the incident was reported, the military viewed the images of some video surveillance cameras and recognized the 30-year-old who, with his head uncovered, started the flames on the front right wheel of the car. The latter was irreparably damaged due to the flames.

This led to the arsonist being reported to the judicial authorities. From what the police were able to ascertain, as there were no reasons for resentment between the two, the fire could have been set just "for fun".
