The judge of the Court of Cagliari validated the detention of Simone Farris, 24, originally from Elmas, residing in Sestu , arrested by the Carabinieri of the Station on charges of robbery and injury to a 55-year-old from Sestu, thrown to the ground by young man immediately after withdrawing 50 euros from the Banca Intesa ATM in via Monserrato.

The trial was postponed to 13 September and the suspect was transferred to Uta prison.

The facts are known: according to the prosecution, the young Farris attacked the victim a few hundred meters away from the bank, the woman reacted. Shot in the face, she was then dragged to the sidewalk where the criminal snatched her backpack with the 50 euros, cell phone and documents.

It happened around midnight with the immediate mobilization of the station's carabinieri who, coordinated by lieutenant Riccardo Pirali, recovered the house and car keys, managing to track down the 24-year-old near his home and arresting him.
