The causes of the death of Carlotta Masala, 27, from Cagliari, found dead by her father yesterday morning in the house of Sestu where they lived are not yet clear. There was no sign of violence on the body, but after the intervention of the 118 and the carabinieri, the Prosecutor decided to seize the body and arrange for medical-legal advice.

The hypothesis is that the girl died of natural causes or that she may have ingested something toxic, but the carabinieri did not find any substance that could be lethal. The medical examiner of 118 had hypothesized natural death, but then - also at the insistence of the family - the carabinieri and the health workers asked for the intervention of the Prosecutor who will clarify any doubts.

The girl had returned home on Monday evening with a friend and then she would have been heard talking late at night, perhaps on the phone, but in the morning when her father woke up he made the terrible discovery: Carlotta was on the sofa, but not giving signs of life.
