The head of the technical sector of the Municipality of Sestu, Antonio Fadda, was released from prison and placed under house arrest, accused of attempted undue inducement to give or promise benefits: on Monday he was arrested by the Carabinieri at the Corte del Sole after pocketing a bribe of 3000 euros.
This morning, before the preliminary investigations judge Manuela Anzani, the engineer appeared for validation, accompanied by his defense attorneys Pier Andrea Setzu and Maurizio Balloi. The public prosecutor Nicola Giua Marassi requested pre-trial detention in prison, but in the end the judge deemed house arrest to be fine, since the technician was immediately suspended from work.
The investigation by the Carabinieri of the provincial command, coordinated by Nicola Pilia , began after the complaint of Italgas managers. One of the officials told the military that to speed up the process for the construction of the first national hydrogen production plant using photovoltaic energy in Sestu, Fadda had asked for 6,000 euros to be delivered in two installments.
The head of urban planning for the Municipality of Sestu was thus arrested after having collected the first 3000 euros that had been previously marked by the investigators.
