Easter day a little sadder in Sestu.

Antonio Massa, 86 years old, a protagonist of Sesto politics and sport, loved by his family and fellow villagers, has passed away, suffering from an incurable disease. The funeral will be held at 4pm on Tuesday in the church of San Giorgio Martire. In the municipality he had held the role of deputy mayor during the legislature of Michele Cossa, in the 2005 elections. While in sport in the 90s he had been manager of GS Sestu, a football team from Sesto which is now dissolved.

Now many mourn him: «A great character from Sestu - declares Cossa – A person who gave so much to the community». For the mayor Paola Secci, «the dearly beloved Antonio Massa was the administrator and historical coordinator of the Sardinian Reformers. A great example of honesty and love for our community. I send a big hug to the family."

Andrea Leporati, manager of the Sestu sports club, continues, "his example remains unforgotten, our affection goes to his loved ones". There is great condolence in the town also on social media where many have published comments of regret and admiration, for a man from Sesto who left a beautiful memory also on a human level.
