“I owe my life to my four-year-old daughter, she saved me”.
To speak is Valentina Schirru. A few days ago, in Senorbì , the 23-year-old had just returned from work, she was at home with her little daughter Marta, her partner had gone out, and she lay down on the bed to rest. Suddenly the sickness caused by diabetes - the young woman is insulin dependent since she was 7 years old - and deep sleep.
It was the little girl who realized that something was wrong: she grabbed the phone and scrolled through the names in the phone book, recognizing the photo of her grandmother and starting the call for help: "Mom is asleep and does not wake up".
Barbara Farris triggered help by alerting 118 and going herself to Valentina's house. Everything worked out for the best, apart from the great fear.
"Mom, you will never make them dead eyes again, will you?" Asked Marta.
